Crazy patchwork is a fun and artistic way to combine fabric scraps, decorative stitches, ribbons, lace, and embellishments into a one-of-a-kind textile piece. In this hands-on class, Trish will guide you through the basics of building a crazy patchwork block—from arranging fabrics in the traditional “crazy” style to stitching them together and adding beautiful decorative embroidery stitches. You’ll learn tips for fabric selection, layering textures, and enhancing your seams with simple embroidery techniques that give crazy quilting its signature charm. Whether you’re new to quilting or an experienced maker looking to try something different, this class is a wonderful way to explore creativity and use up favorite fabric scraps. Sewing experience is required. Supply List for Class: Working Sewing Machine/ Know how to use your machine Neutral Color thread (Light Beige, Light Gray or White) Cutting Mat (10 x 16) or Close to this. The studio will have 1 available Rotary Cutter with a new blade Quilting ruler 6" x 12" Sharp fabric scissors Pin Cushion & Straight pins Seam Ripper Embroidery Needles #9 & Milliners #3 & 9 Needle Threader if you use one Permanent fabric marker ( Medium tip) & Heat Erasable Fabric Marker not Black ( I use Frixion) Selection of DMC Floss if you want to use on your square (More the Merrier) I will bring templates to cut your center piece in class BRING A VARIETY OF THREADS: Threadworx, Painters Thread, Maderia, Fujis Sparkle, Guttermann, Edmar, Fabulous Fibers, Thread Gathers BRING FUN STUFF Buttons, Beads, Laces, Silk Ribbons, Trinkets ( Many will be for sale in class) YOUR KIT CONTAINS: If you are purchasing one of my kits they will have the following: Foundation piece is ironed and marked Your chosen center piece 10 assorted fun fabrics Shape Flex is already applied to everything for stability. This step is a must. If you plan on using a few of your own fabrics to the kit you have purchased, you will need to add shape flex to each fabric piece prior to class. My goal is to have the squares constructed and read to start stitching. Have all of your supplies organized prior to class TO BE USED AS REFERENCE MATERIALS: I will bring these books and if you have any please bring them to class

Classes and Space Rentals For both classes and space rentals, the following refund policy applies based on the timing of your cancellation request: Cancellations made more than 5 days before the scheduled date: Full refund (100%) Cancellations made 3 to 5 days before the scheduled date: 50% refund Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled date: Class Credit Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled date: Class Credit Cancellations made day-of will have no refund Please note that cancellations must be made in writing via email to jaimee@sewcalcraftsudio.com to be eligible for a refund.
