Junk Journal Folio- Shabby Chic
Service Description
Kit fee is $35 cash paid to Robin day of class Join me and learn how to make an easy accordion journal folio, Shabby Chic style with a vintage flair! If you’ve been intrigued by the junk journal explosion in the craft world you may know that anything made with something as simple as envelopes is extremely popular. This nifty accordion folio has all the fun of a junk journal with pockets, tucks and journal cards but the great thing is it can stand alone or be used as an insert for a larger journal... AND doesn't take weeks to make! If you’ve been curious about junk journaling, this is a great class to get your toes wet and learn how to put together this sweet vintage style journal folio in just a few hours. Because I use one of a kind pieces, every kit will be a little different from the sample but equally as gorgeous. Your kit will have most everything to make this project but there are some basic supplies you must bring and some homework before the class if you want to make it like the sample. The kit will have a mix of vintage laces, new laces, fabric, silk ribbon, textiles, tea dyed envelopes, tags & papers, scrapbook papers, charm, eyelets, floss. HOMEWORK: ***I used some digital images for the sample that I cannot put in the kits because of copyright laws, but if you want to use the images I used, here are the names of the etsy sellers: Cinnamoncreekfolkart, SamPooleDesigns I used the digital -noir vintage french haberdashery. You can purchase them before class, print them on tea dyed paper & bring them to class. I will have images to use if you don’t buy the digitals, but they won’t be what’s on the sample. STUDENTS MUST BRING: scissors for paper, scissors for fabric, glue with a small tip applicator, large eye needle, embroidery needle, paper trimmer, brown ink pad, blending tool, hot glue gun, crop-a-dile or 1⁄8” eyelet setter if you have one.
