Sew an adorable, quilted bear apron that’s equal parts whimsical and practical. On Day 1, you’ll cut your pieces and begin sewing your apron. On Day 2, you’ll assemble, add details, and finish—walking out with a ready-to-wear statement piece. Attend Day 2 Only? No problem—just arrive with all fabric pre-cut and ready to sew so you can jump straight into assembly and finishing. Skill Level Confident beginner and up (comfortable operating a sewing machine and following basic pattern instructions). Kits ($65, optional; paid to Evelyn in class) Pre-selected fabrics for the apron Pattern pieces/templates Any specialty materials required for the bear design (Buttons and embroidery thread not included unless specified by instructor.) Supply List (Bring to Class) Sewing machine in good working order Bobbins filled with thread to match your fabrics All-purpose thread Sharp fabric scissors Straight pins Tape measure Tracing paper Fabric (if not purchasing the kit) Two 15 mm black, 4-hole buttons (bear eyes) Black embroidery thread or #5 perle cotton (bear nose) Notes If you’re taking both days, you may purchase the kit on Day 1. If you’re attending only Day 2, bring pre-cut pieces (kit or your own fabric). Fabric Requirements (5 Fabrics) Fabric #1 — ¼ yard Uses: Bear face, ears, area below bow tie, front waistband, neck ties, waist ties. Fabric #2 — 2" × 18" strip Uses: Bow-tie sides and corners; four outside corners of the first frame around the finished head. Fabric #3 — 12" × 17" piece Uses: Back of apron bib; piece above bear head; longer shoulder-top piece; small shoulder-top piece; behind ears. Fabric #4 — 5" × 35" strip Uses: First framed sides, top, and bottom of the bear head (connects to the four corners noted above). Fabric #5 — ⅔ yard Uses: Apron skirt; last framed sides, top, and bottom of the apron bib.
