Well the first week of December has came and went, guess time flies when you are having fun! So, for our first week back after thanksgiving, lets do a little recap and catch you up to speed with what has happened at the studio this last week.

Punch Needle, Penny the Crow

Last Monday, our crafters gathered together again to make a cute little punch needle crow! In this class, focusing on the iconic character of Penny the Crow, crafters learned the basics of Punch Needle Embroidery to create their now iconic pieces. Taught by the dedicated and skilled Pam, our students had a wonderful time making these cute little pieces with her guidance.

Sewing With Sally!

As usual, last week we had veteran instructor Sally come into the studio to teach. This week we branched out, however, and learned a little bit about machine embroidery! If you do want to learn anything about sewing, or sometimes even other crafts, feel free to join Sally's weekly class where we get together, talk, and make.

Tangled Gnomes

Maria, our certified Zentangle teacher, came in again this week to instruct a class in the fascinating art of the Zentangle. This relaxing and 'zen' (hehe) class allowed students to practice their fine motor skills while socializing. It was an all around fun time and we encourage you to join us for our next Zentangle class if you wanna relieve some of that built up stress and hang out with other students.

Quilting with Larene

Another SewCal regular, Larene held her quilting class this last week. This class was a good time for everyone involved, the studio was abuzz with energy as crafters talked and worked on their quilting projects of all kinds. If you have any quilting project you wanna get done in a freeform environment, feel free to come down to the studio for Larene's next quilting class this Wednesday.

Alchohol Ink Ornaments and Coaster Classes

On Saturday last week Danna Phalen taught two classes, Alcohol Ink Ornaments and Alcohol Ink Coasters. Just in time for the festive season, her ornament class allowed our crafters to utilize alcohol ink to create beautifully unique ornaments of all types, the results were stunning. Her alcohol coaster class was similar, but making coasters instead. All our crafters had a wonderful time and made beautifully unique works that are sure to dazzle any guests this holiday season.
