Lots of fun stuff has happened these last few weeks at SewCal, so lets take a look at some of the highlights of the last (several) week(s) in review!

Our Zentangle Class

This class, under the guidance of a certified Zentangle teacher Maria Pahos-Benson , seeks to give students insight and skills required to deepen understanding of composition, shading, and the intricate designs that go into making these incredible pieces of art, feel free to sign up!

'With Love, From Australia!'

It is with a heavy heart that we announce that Linda, our very own crochet and knitting teacher who has been visiting from Australia for the last six weeks, has departed on her next adventure. We want to thank her for all the memories, classes, and fun we had while she was here, and hope she comes back soon!

Fairy Garden Fun!

Last week we got the honor of building our very own fairy gardens with the talented Elizabeth Butterfield. This class allowed our students to truly flex their composition talents, letting them experiment and try different styles and strategies when designing their garden, the result was an awesome array of entirely unique and dynamic fairy gardens created by each crafter! Mama Lohde at SewCal!

World renowned crafter and artist Hanne Lohde is now teaching an open stitching class with us at the studio. Mama Lohde is an award winner and lifelong creative with a penchant for embroidery, quilting, and all means of fiber art. Stop by and bring your Mama Lohde projects or your very own work with you to craft with the award winning designer herself with us here at the studio, we hope to see you there!

SewCal Acrlyic Paint Night!

Our most recent acrylic paint nights have been a blast! Most recently our crafters got to paint a charming fall themed racoon, look at that little cutie! It was a blast to get to hang out and paint with all of our painters, and of course our wonderful and talented teacher Ashley. We hope to see you at our next paint nights in the upcoming weeks!

'Merry Halloween' Mixed Media Pieces

At SewCal we offer a huge variety of classes, one cool piece we worked on were these mixed media Halloween pieces. Utilizing collaging methods, our crafters used torn fabric, scraps of cloth, ribbons, and even stickers! These projects are all super beginner friendly, and are taught by the wonderfully talented Elizabeth Butterfield.
