Another week has flown by here at SewCal, lets take a look at some of the highlights.
SewCal Craft Studio Open For Events
In case you aren't aware, our craft studio is open and available for hosting your very own events. If you want a fun space to work in with your group, or even for a craft oriented event, our rooms are available for booking! If you are interested, please email Jaimee. Do keep in mind that our memberships are also always available if you are looking for a work space with dedicated and talented crafters and a loving close knit community here in Huntington Beach!
Evelyn Penfield back in town!
We are once again honored to mention that Evelyn Penfield, the renowned designer, pattern creator, and teacher, was teaching at SewCal this week, harnessing her incredible design skills in two classes over the last few days, including a pincushion and ornaments class, and a bear apron class! Once again thank you to Evelyn for offering you skillset to the studio and taking time to come down and teach! See you again next March, and feel free to mark it down on your calenders.
This weeks Crochet and Knitting Club Meetup
This last week we were happy to host our weekly Crochet and Knitting Club here at SewCal Craft Studio, this event allows crafters to bring in their own projects and work at their own pace in an environment with other talented crafters, feel free to drop by next week and hang out with us. Additionally, we also host a weekly embroidery club every Friday after Knitting and Crochet club.
Serging with Sally
This last week, Sally taught her serging class, this one off class taught students the basic of using their serger and they created the 'best shirt ever' as exclaimed by several students. Sally is here every Tuesday, and feel free to sign up for her 'Sewing With sally' class if you want a more detailed dive into the world of sewing. Next week on Thursday Sally's one off class is free motion quilting with the studio's free motion quilting machine! We would love to see you there.
